| Maintain Passwords |
If you forget your password, you must obtain a new password.
- Students, faculty and staff who are trying to access their accounts must visit Information Services located on the first floor of the R.W. Corns Building. You must complete a Password Reset Form. Be sure to bring your ID card as you will be required to present it when you turn in the form. A new, temporary password will be generated and mailed to your campus mailbox within 24 hours.
- Alumni who are trying to access their E-mail For Life accounts can contact Alumni Records at alumefl@owu.edu.
Passwords will not be given out by phone or by e-mail. Be sure you know your password and have verified that it works before you leave campus for breaks!
If you forget your password but you have created a secret question and answer, you can change your password without having to remember the old one. To do this, go to the Change Password Web page. |
| To change your account password - [Students, Faculty, and Staff] |
1. Go to the J/CX Student, Faculty or Employee Information Web page:

a. Go to OWU home page, <http://www.owu.edu>
b. Click the link for Current Students and Faculty/Staff
c. Click the link for the appropriate J/CX Web access
d. Enter your username and password (The username must be entered in lowercase.) |
2. Click the 'My Account' link on the left side to display the My Account options (see image)
3. Click the 'Change Password' link and follow the instructions.
4. Click the 'Secret Question' link and follow the instructions.
5. When done, exit from the browser by closing all open browser windows.
Use the Secret Question feature in case you forget your password in the future! |
| To change your EFL account password - [Alumni] |
1. Go to the EFL Account Management Web page:

a. Go to OWU WebMail home page, <http://mail.owu.edu>
b. Click the 'EFL Account Management' link under the section for Alumni
c. Enter your username and EFL password (The username must be entered in lowercase.) |
2. Follow the instructions on the Web page.
3. When done, exit from the browser by closing all open browser windows.
Use the Secret Question feature in case you forget your password in the future! |
| To change your OWU e-mail password - [Departments, Organizations, and OWU Community Guests] |
1. Go to the My Account Web page:

a. Go to OWU WebMail home page, <http://mail.owu.edu>
b. Click the 'My Account' link under the section for OWU Guests
c. Enter your username and password (The username must be entered in lowercase.)
d. Use the links on the left side to navigate the Web site |
2. Click the 'Change Password' link and follow the instructions.
3. When done, exit from the browser by closing all open browser windows. |
