On Being a Scientist: Responsible Conduct in Research
On Being a Scientist is a short work describing some of the ethical issues facing scientists in the practice of science.  Sections include:

The Allocation of Credit
Authorship Practices
Misconduct in Science 
It was published in 1994 by the Committee on Science, Engineering, and Public Policy of the National Academy of Sciences.

Scholarly Communication in Chemistry
Lecture notes from the class session on 8/27/02.  Topics covered included scholarly communication in chemistry and searching the chemical literature with SciFinder Scholar.  A list of sources is included referencing specific readings.

Guidelines for Oral Presentations  
This guide describes the process of preparing and delivering oral presentations.  Guidelines for preparing visual aids and handouts are included.  The role of the audience is also discussed.
